Inside and out, the experience at Vietnam’s Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake is golden — literally.
From fixtures to furniture, the entire 25-story, six-star hotel is gilded. Reportedly costing US$200m, the Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake features wall and ceiling decorations, showers, bathtubs, and even toilets plated with 24kt gold. The building's exterior is cladded in gold sheeting and features a roof-top infinity pool where guests enjoy panoramic views of Hanoi while surrounded by gold-plated tiles.
Even the hotel's food and drink services receive the gold treatment. Room service is delivered with gold-plated cutlery and wrapped in gold foil. At breakfast, coffee is served in 24kt gold-plated mugs.
